Welcome to Port Douglas
Welcome to tropical Queensland!
Arrive at Cairns Airport and enjoy the scenic coastal journey north to Port Douglas.
Check into the five-star Sheraton Grand Mirage Resort, where you'll have time to relax, explore the lagoon pools or enjoy a walk along Four Mile Beach.
In the evening, meet your fellow Race Beyond travellers for our welcome dinner.
Arriving from overseas? We recommend spending Saturday night in Cairns before the trip begins. We can arrange accommodation at preferred hotel rates and pickup from your Cairns hotel on Sunday for the onward transfer to Port Douglas.
Day 2 - Monday, August 23, 2027
Discover the Great Barrier Reef
Today we'll spend a full day discovering one of Australia's most extraordinary natural wonders.
Travel from Port Douglas to the spectacular Great Barrier Reef, visiting Agincourt Reef.
Explore colourful coral and marine life, with opportunities to snorkel, visit the underwater observatory or enjoy the reef aboard a semi-submersible vessel.
With activities for swimmers and non-swimmers, it's a memorable way to experience this remarkable part of Australia.
Return to Port Douglas in the late afternoon, with the evening free to relax and enjoy the resort.
Day 3 - Tuesday, August 24, 2027
Daintree Rainforest & Mossman Gorge
Explore the ancient Daintree Rainforest on a half-day guided adventure.
Enjoy a wildlife-spotting cruise along the Daintree River before visiting Mossman Gorge, surrounded by tropical rainforest.
Return to Port Douglas around lunchtime, leaving the afternoon free to relax beside the resort's lagoon pools, explore the town or visit Four Mile Beach.
The evening is yours to enjoy.

From the Reef to Sydney
Enjoy breakfast before checking out of Sheraton Grand Mirage.
Travel together to Cairns Airport for our included flight to Sydney.
On arrival, we'll transfer to Kimpton Margot Sydney to begin our Race Beyond Sydney Marathon experience.
